Hoping you folks have a possible solution: Is there any way of setting up scripts where there is a combination of Dragon doing keystrokes, then waiting for me to input my voice and then automatically continue with more keystrokes or custom text? Running Canadian Telus PS EMR. Within this EMR I can do commands using shortcuts using keystrokes i.e. control plus M will bring up the EMR messaging tab where you can send messages to your staff, nurses, or your colleagues. I have built a library of very simple step-by-step scripts to help with efficiencies. For example: if I want to let the nurses know that the patient's mammogram was normal, I do a voice command were I say "message mammogram normal" and Dragon will initiate a step-by-step script where the keystroke control plus M is done, followed by typing NURS Which selects the nursing users, followed by a few Tabs to get to the message body were then Dragon types a message to let the nurses know to call the patient, followed by another couple of tabs and then Dragon click enter. The initial set up can take some time to create these groups but once you get a few these going it is actually quite easy and time efficient. However the step-by-step scripts running is fairly basic. I wondered there is any way of doing something more advanced work for example I can somehow be more specific where I could have a voice command the similar keystrokes are initiated but it waits for me to say something unique every time in the text body and then when I am done automatically continues on with the subsequent series of scripts and events to send the message? Thank you in advance |

Within an DAS (Dragon Advanced Scripting) you can pause and wait for a line of dictated text using the InputBox function. PromptValue Function (nuance.com) About Structured Commands (nuance.com)
