Using DMPE 4 for about a year now. Initially was very happy with accuracy, but in the last few months noticing a lot more inaccurate words/phrases sneaking in. Two different users having the same problem on the same machine. Just installed it on another computer, and it is working flawlessly. Still need it on the first one, so I'm wondering--since we didn't change anything on the first one--same sound card, same mike, same software, same location/ambient conditions--what might have changed to lower accuracy? How do we troubleshoot? |

Thanks. I don't recall running Accuracy Tuning, but I'm not certain I never did.
Today it is behaving better, but the problem has been kind of intermittent. If it persists I will apply your suggestion. |

Why would something be called "accuracy training" if it make accuracy worse? |

Why? Because this process is far from perfect.
Users' experience with accuracy training has been very different. From what I've heard, most users won't notice any or very little improvement, while a few others reported that their accuracy has dropped significantly after this adaptation.
So the usual suggestion is: Don't bother and if you do, by all means backup your profile before running adaptation.

I have noticed my accuracy has been bad for the past few months, I might have run the accuracy training a while ago.
Will I lose initial accuracy if I create a new profile? ------------------------- Win 10 - DPI 15 - AT 8 pro + Andrea USB |

Consider exporting your vocabulary as an XML file, creating a new user and importing your XML vocabulary. If your accuracy continues to be lower than expected, consider disabling Dragon's auto gain control. We would give you more details but we are in the middle of testing Windows 11 cloud speech recognition.
PS: The Windows 11 local engine is noteably more featured but too inaccurate to use. It looks like Microsoft really needs Nuance technology ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2020 |

Thanks Lunis, I saw the other thread about auto gain control and I think it's part of the issue. ------------------------- Win 10 - DPI 15 - AT 8 pro + Andrea USB |
