1. Create a new folder 2. Rename the new folder to: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} 3. Open the renamed folder. Works in Windows 7, 8 , 10, 11 ------------------------- Michael Noble

Very nice. I remember doing that in Windows 7 via creating a new desktop shortcut.
Good to see that this is still available in Windows 11.
After the folder is created you need to press F5 (or rename the folder to something else) to get the proper folder ico in Windows 11:
However, it is ignoring further renaming (no label). Therefore I have placed it in the very top left corner of my desktop and I use the the following DVC command to call it up from whichever window I'm working in:

You'll find pictorial information at GodMode Details. Many end-users are unable to upgrade to Windows 11; even with new computers. One of our associates has added Windows 11 to a Flash Drive so that he can open Windows 11 on any computer. We haven't tried this yet but thinking about it since our new barely 9 months old i9 monster computer will not permit a Windows 11 upgrade. We are looking forward to trying out the new Windows 11 speech engine ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2020 |

Lunis, did you already try updating your BIOS? ------------------------- Turbocharge your Dragon® productivity with 40 Power Addons |

Dilligence, We hired a professional computer service company to handle the Windows 11 upgrade. They made the bios change along with a few other tweaks but had to give up after a couple of hours and said that we would have to FDSK and start over. That would be a little too much work for our office computer so we are opting for a possible flash drive workaround to see if we can test the Windows 11 speech engine. ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2020 |

If it helps any, the Windows team does not/cannot allow all arbitrary machines to upgrade at the first release. Some configurations require more development on the Windows upgrade/installer side. I remember I had to wait 8 months or a year once before the new OS (Win7, 8, 10? can't remember) would upgrade my machine. So maybe if you wait patiently, the new OS release will catch up with your leading-edge configuration.

I wasn't patient
I didn't want to spend too much on this, so I chose the i5-10600K CPU which by default runs at 4.10GHz. ($240) and the Asus H410M-A motherboard ($75). I could keep my existing 16 GB 2133 RAM. I think this is about as budget as it gets!
Oh, yes I forgot, this processor didn't come with a cooler so I chose the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO. Only $30, works great and is relatively easy to mount.
I'm always claiming that the i5 is a better choice when it comes to Dragon® performance than an expensive i7 (i5 usually has better single core performance). Time to take that claim to the test!
I have to say the i5-10600K performs extremely well with Dragon. Responsiveness is 10% faster on this system. And I didn't even upgrade my RAM (which I will do later).
What surely helped is that I did a completely clean Windows 11 install (formatted my hard drive etc.). Initially my system got rejected by the Windows 11 setup. Luckily a simple BIOS update fixed this and I was ready to go.
The installation was fast and painless. I am very happy with Windows 11 (don't you just love those round corners!). The only big downside was that the main Windows Explorer top menu has gotten extremely speech unfriendly. This is easy to fix with the program StartAllBack (just $5).
What strikes me most is that even though Windows 11 has better graphics, idle state has a lower footprint then my previous Windows 10 installation. Idle really means "idle" (zero CPU footprint). In Windows 10 it always floated between 1 and 2%. That makes you wonder....
