My Sennheiser MB Pro 2 microphone keeps disconnecting from its BTD 800 dongle. This seems to happen every time my computer goes to sleep (e.g., whenever I close the laptop lid for a few minutes). I can restore the connection by going through the standard pairing routine described in the microphone's user manual. Or, I can usually restore the connection by restarting my laptop, but this doesn't always work.

The microphone is almost new (I bought it in October from Knowbrainer). I'm using the dongle that came with it in the same box, so they should be compatible. The dongle is plugged directly into a USB port on the laptop. The problem has been going on for several weeks now, maybe even since the microphone arrived. I'm not sure exactly when it started, though, because life has been pretty hectic over the last few months. 

This new microphone replaced my previous MB Pro 2, which stopped working after seven years of daily use. So, I am pretty familiar with this model, but I'm stumped. Can anyone suggest a fix?

I have connected my Sennheiser Pro1 directly without Dongle to the Windows PC via Bluetooth. Could you try to bypass the dongle to investigate if the dongle causes the issue?

We don't recommend bypassing the Sennheiser Bluetooth dongle. Even though your integrated computer Bluetooth may work, in most cases, we have found Sennheiser microphones to become less accurate.

It seems like Windows switches off the USB hub if it hasn't been used for a while to save power. Go to Device Manager and check the power settings for the hub.
