There was a thread on here about whispering while dictating. I have tried it and I was impressed with how well it went- though I did not do it for long. I tried it with a pretty cheap mic too. I think that is what MDH is getting at with the laryngitis, comment. Whispering is pretty hard for people to decipher so if you were able to dictate while whispering or while speaking very softly, then it might be a solution to the privacy concerns.
