I have purchased a Sennheiser MB pro 1 UC/ML based on recommendations on this site and am really impressed with its accuracy. Couple of things I've tried to try and remedy this; 2. Reloaded my profile. 3. Moved the USB dongle from a shared powered USB hub and connected it directly to my surface laptop. The only thing that seems to work is if I remove the USB dongle and then reinsert it (at which point the headset states that it has reconnected). Obviously, not an ideal solution - any thoughts on what might be causing this and how I remedy it?

This might be a motherboard problem with your USB ports. This would affect all USB ports. This issue could also be the dongle itself which can be rectified by contacting Sennheiser (877) 736-6434 to have it switched out

I have the same issue with that headset. I have to turn it off and on sometime to have it say "dongle connected" Dragon then works as expected

UPDATE: We just received another customer issue with this problem today and that makes 3. This might require a firmware update which would still require calling Sennheiser but we believe Sennheiser has farmed out MB Pro1/2 support to another company

Can also confirm that it's been an issue. Don't think it's restricted to DPI since I don't have any desktop Dragon. And the lack of outright connection after taking it off the stand happens inconsistently. Didn't used to be a problem (1 or 2 years ago?), however, as I have had mine since 2016 (from KB) ... wouldn't surprise me if one or more of the Windows updates since then had surreptitiously led to problems. |
