Greetings, I've been using the ADDASOUND Crystal SR 2832 (HD) and getting great results in terms of accurate speech recognition. However, when I'm on the company phone system I keep getting customers telling me that my audio sounds "windy".
I've checked my sound quality using the voice recorder function built into Windows, and there is a tiny bit of breath noise, but nothing substantial.
I've also tried the recommendation of adjusting my sound in the Max audioPro control panel I can get rid of the windy sound that way, but my Dragon accuracy takes a major hit, even after rerunning the microphone setup Wizard.
Is there a compatible windscreen for that microphone that won't impact my speech recognition accuracy? The mic doesn't come with one by default. |

Thanks so much for the reply, I think it was an issue with the Dell/realtech audio driver not being up to date. The windy sound that others were getting when I was on the phone, along with a whole host of other Dragon issues
Thought that was a good idea, but the old IT person was convinced that that wasn't the problem, and didn't want me to run the utility without his approval. |

We don't believe Addasound offers windscreens, because they don't believe their microphones need a windscreen but you can obtain them from us. Click Windscreen and choose the TalkPro model ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2020 |

Hi, I did end up adding a windscreen to my ADDASOUND Crystal SR 2832 (HD), and it seriously improve the user experience. Not sure if I was putting the mic too close to my mouth, or if there was something weird going on with the audio drivers at work (always unfortunately a possibility), but adding a windscreen seems to have seriously boosted my accuracy.
Also, I would occasionally get "will will will" appearing randomly, and that seems to have gone away. |

The "will will will" is caused by interference. If your microphone element is to close to your lips, that interference is likely windage from your mouth and possibly your nose. You have inspired us to revisit testing Microsoft windscreens and we agree with your findings. We are experimenting and planning on adding a perfect pair of windscreens to all of our microphone headsets in the future.

Hello, much to my surprise, a family member of mine has asked for a better speech recognition headset, just ordered them the ADDASOUND Crystal SR 2832 (HD). Thanks for adding the complementary windscreens already. Definitely impressed with the customer service |
