The accuracy is virtually the same and although the Addasound Crystal SR2832 is very noise filtering, it is not as noise filtering as the Audio-Technica Pro 8HEmW which was designed for extremely noisy environments like a jackhammer or the Big Haired Lady target practicing with her silverplated 357 Magnum circa Dirty Harry revolver. Of course we 30 day, no restock fee, customer satisfaction, guarantee it. ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |

Thanks for the timely and on-point info. I think I'll invest in that headset. Partially for convenience, and partially because my backup mic right now, if something ever were to happen to my audio technica Pro, is a blue snowflake.
The snowflake is actually really impressive, as long as the environment is really quiet. But it's the microphone equivalent of a great horned owl. It hears everything, and I mean everything going on in the environment.
That said, I think I'll wait until I get my Dragon situation sorted at work, before I place the order. Right now, in the absence of Dragon, my speech recognition setup there needs all the help it can get, which means sticking with the trusty Audio Technica Pro for the time being.

Hi. I got the ADDASOUND headset in and overall I'm very impressed.
Since I'm going to be wearing it for hours, I got the fake leather ear-pad upgrade. Oddly, one went on super easy, and the other one was a real struggle, but they're both on there now, and I don't plan on removing them.
I'll test the headset at work on Monday, but based on my checks generating artificial background noise, it seems like the noise cancellation will be more than sufficient for the office I'm in. |

Hello, realized I never updated this thread. After a good chunk of time using the ADDASOUND Crystal SR 2832 (HD) I've run into a bit of an issue where the background noise elimination was solid, but it seemed to be getting a fair bit of breath interference.
Your mileage may vary with this, as I might've been positioning the mic to close to my mouth, or experiencing some weirdness from the audio drivers in my software environment at work, however, for me, adding a basic windscreen seriously leveled up the user experience on microphone.
I ended up getting a pack of cheap "lapel-mic style" windscreens from Amazon, because I wasn't planning on ordering any other physical items from KB in the near future, and didn't feel like paying additional shipping for a piece of foam.
That said, if you're thinking about ordering the ADDASOUND Crystal SR 2832 (HD), Lunis suggest that the talkpro windscreen would be a good fit, and based on my experience, I would 110% recommend ordering the windscreen with this Mic. It certainly usable without, but much better with one.
