I use a Sampson meteor USB microphone that is fed through a USB hub to my computer. Everything works fine. If I was in your shoes and there is no difference between the computers except the parts, I would choose the one with the most ports. The USB hub will not make any difference at all. I have tried probably five microphones through my hub, with no difference whatsoever. I even tried some earbuds with a TRRS tip-ring-ring-sleeve plug into a TRRS-to-USB adapter to plug into the USB hub to plug into my computer. None of the links made any difference at all to Dragon.
