At times when using certain applications like office I find that the built-in commands (I think they are called Natural Language Commands) get in the way. Is there any way of turning them off? I was doing an instruction table in Word for some pupils which involved setting colors and the commands just kept changing colors of the text.
I can say something like "no caps change the color to red" but I keep forgetting so I guess I just need to adopt the habit by repitition? |

Say “open Dragon options”; (1) choose the “Commands”; (2) press the “More commands” button; (3) in the new dialog which opens uncheck the “Enable Microsoft Word commands”. Unfortunately, you only have a few applications which you may disable and, as I understand it, this only disables those application-specific built-in commands. |

Thanks Edgar that helps, I will write a script to automate the process as I do use the commands at other times. |

You may already be aware of this, but another possibility would be to hold down the Shift key in order to force a command to be recognised as dictation. I believe you can change the key in Options > Hot Keys.

You can enable and disable the natural language commands at will using the following script (set the option to 1 to switch them back on):
Sub Main EngineControl.Option (dgnengoptionEnableNaturalLanguageCommands) = 0 End Sub ------------------------- |
