We are using Dragon NT 15.60.200 to enter notes in Word, and MS Edge. For Edge we use the dictation box.

We can enter one paragraph in either application without any issues, but as soon as we try to enter a second paragraph, the application (Word, Edge, or Outlook) locks up and we cannot do anything without killing the app. Closing Dragon doesn't have much effect.

This doesn''t affect everyone, for some colleagues Dragon work without issue. 

We've tried reinstalling Dragon and have even swapped the laptop for a new one, but the issue returns almost immediately.

Does anyone have any pointers as to what might be the cause?

Most, but not all, Microsoft Edge fields are Dragon friendly. Have you double checked to make certain that you have added the Edge Extension?

We are not fans of Dragon's Dictation Box. You might want to check out our 30 day trials of DragonCapture and KnowBrainer in our signature tag.

Our best guess is that your Dragon profile is also a bit lethargic and too large. It may even be slightly corrupted. You might consider making a test profile. If it works, it may be temporary. You may also consider our Dragon Installation/Training Guide (complimentary to our Dragon customers) which includes pictorial details on fixing three dozen sandtraps.

Sometimes these glitches are caused by the Windows user profile. Try logging into the computer as a different Windows user.
