I have just bought a new machine with Windows 11. I have put Dragon 16 on it and everything is working fine apart from the Dragon Chrome extension isn't working.

It appears at the top right. But none of the commands are working.

I have tried adding it and removing it but unfortunately nothing seems to get it working.

Any ideas as to how I can diagnose what is going on and fix this?

... A bit more investigation and the extension is working a little bit. If I say "click elephant" and there is an "elephant" hyperlink on the page it follows it. But if I say "show links" or any of the other commands they don't work. And if there is more than one "elephant" on the page it doesn't work.

Actually… Your Dragon extension is working but it leaves a little to be desired. For example, show links works for us but clicking on the numbers doesn't work. There are also a lot of fields where Dragon won't even accept dictation, like Facebook or even the address bar. We recommend downloading and installing a free utility called Click By Voice. You can use Click by Voice in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

 

Some browser fields will not accept dictation but we use KnowBrainer 2022 and DragonCapture to force Dragon dictation pretty much everywhere. You'll find trials in our signature tag.

I downloaded the utility app for Google Chrome, as you suggested. Are there any other Dragon -related apps shown on that website that you would recommend?

Thanks Lunis. On my old setup of Windows 10 and Dragon 15 and for the last few versions the Dragon Google Chrome extension has worked fine. "Show links" shows most of the links on the page, same with all of the other commands. I could click them by saying "click [number]". I was hoping that the Chrome extension would work exactly the same on my new computer. The utility you mention looks okay but nothing like as fast as the Dragon one. It also looks quite involved to get the commands working directly via my voice rather than through the pop-up dialogue.

If anyone has any other thoughts on how to get the chrome extension working I would be interested in hearing them.

Another option would be KnowBrainer 2022's Display Numbers or SpeechStart+'s Show Numbers commands. You don't even have to say click <number>. You can just say the number

Well chrome and edge exstentions have been broken for years so i wouldnt expect anything soon   

 

Lunis- I didnt realize using click by voice would work without your software... good to know but your software does make it a lot easier?)
