For some reason I have lost the ability to insert a . when I say "period". Now Dragon will only insert "period" when I say "period". It will never insert the dot. There has always been some confusion between "period" and "." For instance, when you say "limitations period" you might get "limitations ." But I could live with that. Most of the time it got it right. Now, I never get the dot.  Is there a way to go back to the way it was? Thanks.

Try creating a new profile. The entire process takes less than 15 minutes.

If a new profile solves the problem, re-open the original profile, export your custom words and commands, open the new profile, and import your custom words and commands. (I suggest that you review the word list and custom commands before you import them. You may not want everything anymore.)

If you're dictating expressions that include the word period, such as "limitation period," it wouldn't hurt to add these phrases to Dragon's vocabulary.

You might want to consider opening the Vocabulary Editor, selecting period click the Properties button and note the formatting below:

Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022
