I was able to create a KB save as and save file command. When I deploy the save as file command,it takes me to the proper menu. The menu also contains several numbered "Y"menus. An example is there is one for where I name the file. At present, I have to click on that menu item. I am hoping I can create KB commands for these numbered "Y" items. I would attach a screenshot but am unable to do so. Lunis and his Baker Street Irregulars are investigating. However, I was hoping somebody had figured this out. As always, I appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thanks so much, Jim Triona

Those "Y" + numbers are accelerators. If you want to navigate to, for example, "Y5", then the script can simply type those two letters. |

1. The devil is in the details. Be specific about what application you would like commands for.
2. We strongly recommend creating your personal commands in Dragon rather than KnowBrainer because KnowBrainer upgrades currently overwrite the previous commands
3. If we are talking about Microsoft Word, KnowBrainer already includes Save, Save As and Save As <dictation> application-specific commands for Microsoft Word. The Save command is global. We suspect that you are adding your personal commands as global. This won't work because the built-in KnowBrainer commands are application-specific. Application commands always take preference over global commands and window commands take precedence over application commands.
You will not need to click on any Ys for those 3 commands. We recommend placing your cursor into a Microsoft Word document and saying Show Application Commands, to view commands, in alphabetical order, that are dedicated to Microsoft Word (assuming that is the application you are asking about) ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |
