Greetings- I seem to be having a heck of a time with Dragon Indivual Professional v15.61.200.010 in terms of accuracy. My Dragon BadUsers files in C:\ProgramData\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking15 are 22.1 GB (23,773,908,992 bytes) and all date from 2019. My Users file in C:\ProgramData\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking15 is empty. Is this normal? What is the default location for my dragon profile? Any input is appreciated. SM
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHzInstalled RAM 32.0 GB Windows 11

I wouldn't be too concerned about the profiles in BadUsers.
Under Windows 10, the default location of your Dragon profile is here: C:\Users\[your Windows profile]\AppData\Local\Nuance\NS15\Users\ Not sure it's in the same location under Windows 11. If there is no profile in that folder, and you haven't changed the default location, then your user profile somehow disappeared. There's a simple solution. Create a new profile. It takes five minutes. If you have backups of your custom words and custom commands, import them. If you don't, this file contains all your custom commands: C:\Users\[your Windows profile]\AppData\Local\Nuance\NS15\BadUsers\[name of Bad Dragon profile]\current\MyCmds.dat |

May I delete the 22 go of BadUser? It appears to be from 2019.
Thanks |

NEVER delete an application folder unless you are absolutely certain you don't need it. When it comes to program construction, always assume the programmers knew what they were doing.
Windows 10 and 11 Dragon addresses are the same. Ver. 15.0 and 15.3 are located in the %PROGRAMDATA%\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking15\Users\ folder. When Nuance released Ver. 15.61 they changed the address to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Nuance\NS15\Users\ You might think of it like the IRS supposedly trying to help us by changing everything as often as possible
Our best guess is that Dragon switched to your computer's built-in sound system. This can happen when you launch Dragon without 1st plugging in your microphone. However, sometimes it can just happen on its own. Switching back to your favorite microphone will probably take care of the issue.
Click DragonBar Profile/Manage Dictation Sources/Choose Microphone menu. Left Click on your microphone and click the Finish button. Dragon always uses the microphone at the top of the list ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |
