Whatever I tried I can't figure out or get it to work the DPI starts with my my preferred mode: "dictation mode". It is a nuisance when the default back to normal mode and then when speaking certain words triggers a completely unsolicited function. Example (one of many): "I will have an open word with you". DPI interprets "open word" as to open MS Word! From time to time during a dictation of some text it goes completely nuts and opens just about any app whose name could closely be interpreted and sound like something I'm dictating that has nothing to do with it in the first place!

Open Word is a built-in Dragon command. The following 3 options should eliminate the problem:
1. You can make the phrase “open word” as part of a longer phrase like “open word whatever”. 2. If you wish to dictate “open word” by itself, you can say “no-caps open word” or “Cap Open word” 3. Open your Dragon options to the Commands tab and remove the checkmarks from Enable launching from the start menu and Enable launching from the desktop; our preference. Because we use KnowBrainer to launch programs, we disable this Dragon feature. When we wish to open Microsoft Word we pull a circa 1966 Captain Kirk and say Computer Open Word. KnowBrainer 2022 can now open any application, folder, file picture or even play the song Born To Be Wild by Steppenwolf. Dragon can't do that and perhaps it shouldn't
Dictation Mode:
There is no way to open Dragon in Dictation Mode but for normal dictation, this shouldn't be necessary. For most end-users, a smidgen of command and control makes dictation more efficient ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |

You can semi-automate the process via a third-party scripting tool, like Macro Express or AutoHotkey. The script, perhaps triggered by a hotkey of your choice, would do something like this: |
