Hi. I have Dragon set to launch automatically when Windows starts. It sort of launches, but I get a message "Dragon bar is now under tray icon," and I have to open the tray (? the caret mark)manually, click on the Dragon icon, and then click on a profile. For me, this hurts; that's why I have Dragon in the first place. How can I get it to open all the way automatically?

Note: under Tools/Options/Miscellaneous, the only option available is to "launch Dragon in Quick Start mode when Windows starts." That is the box I've checked. Is Quick Start the problem? If so, what do I do?

Open your Dragon options by saying show Dragon options. Click on the Appearance tab and verify that you don't have a checkmark in Start Dragon minimized. If you do, choose the correct option. If you don't, try putting your checkmark in any other display option, click the Apply button, move your checkmark back where you want it and then click the OK button

 

If you are using Dragon 15.61 or higher you can prevent Dragon from asking you, which user profile you wish to open, when you click on the Dragon bar Open User Profile menu and add a checkmark to Load this profile in Dragon starts

Thanks, Lunis. Tried this but with no luck. I don't have 15.61 or higher, maybe that's the problem?

If you are a transcriptionist or court reporter, in our opinion, it would probably be better to stay with Ver. 15.3 and putting up with this oddity.
