I have a bit of an odd question. So I use dragon 11.0 home (I got it as a birthday gift some while ago) on windows 10. The other day I was running several tasks on my computer, and the RAM/CPU were near their limits. To reduce the load, I tried to close dragon, but it froze up. Trying to get it to respond, I right clicked on the tray icon and managed to bring up the menu. However, I then noticed some options on the dropdowns I had never seen before. In the mode selection menu, I saw "hidden mode", in the vocabulary menu, I saw "import vocabulary" (or something very similar), and in the tools menu, I saw an option to transcribe from an audio file. I clicked that option and opened a dialog window that asked for a file path to an audio file. After doing some research, I've concluded that these are Dragon Pro features, and that while they are normally depreciated, they are still technically installed. What I want to know is how to access them regularly, without having to re-create the fluke that originally showed them. (Yes, I technically know that this is piracy, but this particular version is so old that I doubt anyone at Nuance would care.) Unfortunately I did not think to taken screenshots of this.

                    Welcome (See Mission Statement)

1. Begin by saying show Dragon options to open your Dragon options menu

2. Click the View Tab and select a DragonBar viewing option that you like. You are currently using Dragon's minimized in tray option which as you can see, has some disadvantages. Note that the other options will allow you to see all of your menus but note that many of them do not work in the Home Edition. minimized in tray was not the default viewing option. You had to have changed it

3. In our opinion, Home Edition 11 is a crippled version of Preferred 11 which is a crippled version of Professional 11. We suspect Nuance leaves the menus in so that you'll see what you're missing. As far as transcribing recordings are concerned, you would minimally need Preferred 11. Note that Preferred; now Premium, is no longer manufactured. At best, the Dragon Home Edition is a speech recognition appetizer and we strongly recommend against purchasing it. There is no way to enable the features you did not purchase. Otherwise, everyone would purchase the Home Edition

We recommend DPI 15.61 (Dragon Professional Individual). Home Edition 11 is more than a decade out of date and in our opinion, crippled too much

Re Point 1: The menus are the same in both floating window mode and minimized to tray mode. That's a nonissue, it just happened to be in that display mode when this glitch occured.

Re Points 2 and 3: The fact I was able to actually open the audio file transcribe dialog window suggests that these features are actually included in DNS Home Version 11, and just are not readily accessable.

Re Point 4: Unfortunatly, I do not have the money to purchase an updated and upgraded version of Dragon where delux features like transcribing audio files are readily accessable from the menu, which is why I'm making this post in the first place.

Well, if you can "recreate the fluke", go ahead. However, you can't really expect a bunch of Dragon resellers on a public forum to explain software hacks that release deluxe features in legacy software.
