Is there any way to restore The normal word that was deleted from the vocabulary? I deleted the first word that I wanted to delete. Dragon did nothing. So I issue the command again, and by the time Dragon updated the display, I had inadvertently deleted a normal word that I did not want to delete.

Is there any way of restoring deleted words from the deleted words bin?

When you delete any original word from your vocabulary, it's actually saved in the backup vocabulary. All you have to do say Add Word, type the word you wish to add back followed by clicking the Add button. You can optionally do this from within the Vocabulary Editor.

Thanks Lunis, but ... I could not find a restore button in the vocabulary editor to fish the word out of the Deleted Words list. I tried your Add Word method, but it added the word as a new custom word from me (marked with the bright green cross) instead of restoring the deleted version of the word (and displaying it without a green cross). The good news is that the word is not in the deleted word list any more. So I will live with the green custom word marker. Thank you.

That's the way it works. There is no "restore deleted words" functionality, only what Lunis suggested: Add a word.

Dragon then looks into the backup dictionary if this word form is known already (which is true in your case) and then adds the word together with (probably) context information and (most likely) pronunciation variants to your active vocabulary.

If the word has been found in the backup dictionary, this is indicated by the green cross.
