I'm running Windows 10. Does anyone know of a screensaver that DNS 15.3 Pro can get past, overcome, kick off the screen, rather than have the screensaver turn on and have no way to access the computer without restarting?

Seems like DNS 15.3 has been around quite a while. Has anyone heard of updated version(s) upcoming?

Jeff

It's been eons since I used a screensaver, but if I remember correctly, pressing the Escape key got me past the screensaver. So try "press Escape."

If you don't have a security issue, consider disabling the screensaver as follows:

1. Type or dictate Change screensaver in Windows Search field

2. Click Change power settings

3. Put a checkmark in the Chevron of your favorite performance

4. Click Change plan settings

5. Change Turn off the display and Put the computer to sleep settings to NEVER

Thanks, Guys, but I don't have the use of my hands. Voice commands alone don't get rid of the standard Windows 10 screensavers. I'm not looking too disable screensavers. I've already done that much. I'm looking for a screensaver that I can stop with only a voice command.

Just wondering why don't you want to totally disable your screensaver? Modern screens do not burning like they used to so leaving them on does not harm the screen anyway. The only possible reason to use a screensaver would be for confidentiality/security reasons, is that your concern?

I would be happy to write an application for you - it would just be a few lines of code really (if we keep it simple). The only real questions are:
1) do you want the taskbar exposed or hidden?
2) simplest would be a completely black screen - either covering or exposing the taskbar - would that suit your needs?
3) very simple would be an application which you started yourself each time you wanted the screensaver to start - you would have a single voice command which blanked the screen by starting the application if it was not already running or closing itself if it was already running - would that work for you, or...
3a) much more complicated, an application which runs all the time and watches for keystrokes and mouse movement (your typical screensaver). This would require an interface which could be opened to adjust the delay of inactivity.

Are you willing to install an application that I write?

That's really nice of you, Edgar. Before I answer your question, I had a question for Msradell. I'm using a "normal" TV as my monitor. It's actually a monitor for both my work and home computers, as well as streaming TV. Security isn't a concern. I am concerned that my desktop shortcuts will somehow "burn" into the screen. Are you saying this isn't an issue?
Thanks, Jeff

I'm not really sure about televisions, but I know it's not a problem with computer screens. I'm guessing it probably shouldn't be a problem with televisions because they are also LCD like computer screens.

I think that as long as your TV is a flatscreen you should have no problems with burn in.

I agree unless it's a older Plasma screen television, I am 1 of those and they definitely suffer from burn in.
