I was playing with some microphones (wired USB and bluetooth) tonight on Windows 11.
In Notepad, something would happen and both microphones resulted in Dragon inserting a leading space and a first lowercase letter whenever I tried to start a new sentence on a new line. I would say "enter" (insertion point moved to the new line), "This is a test.", and Dragon would insert " this is a test." It happened with both microphones. I also tried "new line" and "new paragraph" but the results were the same.
In WordPad and Word, everything worked fine.
I'm thinking somehow that Dragon is not seeing the enter/new line/new paragraph transitions properly and so thinks it should just add my words (prepending a space) to the end of a mythical unfinished sentence in its buffer/mind. In WordPad and Word, Dragon doesn't lose track, so it does the right thing.
I checked all the properties for '.' and 'period' in the Vocabulary editor, and they all look correct to me.
Does anyone have any idea what causes this problem? Is it something that I do? Is there some easy way I can get Dragon to resync with the Notepad buffer and the sentence end characters? (It's like Dragon doesn't see the 'period' word, even though it inserts it into the buffer. ------------------------- Win10/11/x64, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X/3950X, 64/128GB RAM, Dragon 15.3, SP 7 Standard, SpeechStart, Office 365, KB 2017, Dragon Capture, Samson Meteor USB Desk Mic, Amazon YUWAKAYI headset, Klim and JUKSTG earbuds with microphones, excellent Sareville Wireless Mono Headset, 3 BenQ 2560x1440 monitors, Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard and Logitech G502 awesome gaming mouse. |

Does it happen when you say "press Enter?"

Strange as it may sound, Windows 11 Notepad is only Dragon compliant when it feels like it. By comparison, Windows 10 Notepad is very happy with Dragon. This problem will not be fixed until Ver. 16 is released

Hi Alan, yes, it happened with the enter command as well. Lunis, it sounds like you've heard of the problem before and know that it will be fixed in Version 16. Thank you.
