I am using a number of Android applications using Bluestacks. The command "click" does not work in Bluestacks whereas a manual click does. Is there a way of voice clicking in Bluestacks?

Bluestacks doesn't seem to be a Dragon friendly application. There is no green dot in the DragonBar, which indicates that Dragon doesn't have full text control over text and elements in the window. Hence you cannot click elements by voice. If you absolutely need it, you will probably be able to write a couple of voice commands. Alternatively, you may use the mouse grid to position the mouse where you needed.

Say "mouse grid" followed by the appropriate numbers, and then "click".

Hope that helps, Stephan

Thank you for this. I couldn't get it to click at all earlier. Yes, MouseGrid and SP Grid come to the rescue. I need to experiment a little more.

It is more robust using an Android app in Bluestacks than in the [disapponting] Windows Phone link. But, of course, Dragon functionality is limited.

As Alan pointed out, MouseGrid commands are somewhat long-winded; hence his sage work around. Another option would be to capture the mouse coordinates and use them to create easy to remember Advanced-Scripting commands. This feature is built into KnowBrainer 2020 via our patented VerbalBasic command collection. Here's an example:

We don't use Photoshop, other than for test purposes but as you might guess, Dragon absolutely hates it. If we wish to create a Mouse Position command to click the Crop button, all we have to do is position our mouse over the Crop button and say New Mouse Command <crop>. When we say New Mouse Command <crop>, KnowBrainer forces Dragon to record the X & Y mouse coordinates, create a new Application Specific command, name the command Crop, insert the mouse coordinates, add a left mouse click and save the command. This entire process takes under 3 seconds and will allow you to rapidly voice automate an entire application. These types of commands are easy to remember and deploy much faster than MouseGrid commands.

Keep in mind that because you are using Mouse Position coordinates, these commands will only work if the window is always located in the same position. You might consider maximizing that window to ensure command position accuracy. You will find a 30 day trial of KnowBrainer 2020 in our signature tag

Here's a trick to make MouseGrid and Mouse Window a little more efficient when performing repetitive tasks. Once you know the sequence of steps to hit a target, combine them into a single utterance. So instead of this:

"MouseGrid" [pause] "5" [pause] "8" [pause] "1" [pause] "click"

Say this:

"MouseGrid 5 8 1 click"

These sequences can be converted into HeardWord commands with easy to remember names.
