MModal actually settled the dispute with Nuance out-of-court for an undisclosed amount on the eve of the trial, before any dismissal, and before the court case in October 21. In other words MM admitted, at least partially, some patent infringements. Don't let any floral embellishments on the outcome from the 3M (owners of MM) lawyers let you believe otherwise. Likewise with remaining persuasive arguments which this web article mainly deals with. Whether or not the agreement has been ratified by the court I don't know.
