for several days,I have been doing testing since I got word working again to see what causes it to crash. I haven't had any problem with Word documents in one drive, dropbox or desktop UNTIL I change the Microsoft account in word [you can do that in the upper right of a Word document] and opened a word doc with a long file name that was also in a folder that had a long name. then word crash and I Got pop up from Microsoft Word:

word automatically save changes to the normal document template. Do you want to load it?

I closed out of that pop up without answering it, was that what I should have done?

I will do further testing to see if changing the Microsoft account played a factor into the crashing.  I was able to go back into Word and work okay briefly. then later couldn't dictate-- even with Dictation Box DPI was putting in completely different letters and symbols--that never happened before. Off to reboot again. after reboot, word dictation working okay.
