Hi,  I am new to the forum so apologies if this has been answered but I didn't see any thing. I'm not particularly new to Dragon products having used them since about 1995. I have always used Dragon with the tray icon (it's the least visually intrusive option for the tools I use) and since updating to 15.61 it looks like they removed all of the menu options except for exit and open?   Nuance have never been (IMO) particularly good with UI.  I use them for the voice recognition, but it has been manageable. One of the problems they have never solved for me is getting screen scaling correct (the splash screens are tiny on a high resolution screen).  Unfortunately with the latest update they have extended this incompetence to the main UI so if I open it up floating (it's disastrous docked - an unusable then strip along the top), but even floating it's barely readable. Am I going crazy, is there some feature I'm missing or are they just not doing basic quality control when they release the stuff? I would gladly except something with 1/10 of the features if they could just reliably dictate into notepad with a manageable user interface

Floating UI - greatly magnified here - it's barely readable on a 4k monitor, text is all clipped, you can't resize any of the windows,  they disable the maximize window button

Docked to the top - almost readable here but 1/8 inch on actual monitor

on the left of the screen - more text you can't read at monitor scale

I'm at my wits end with this product - I need voice dictation but every other aspect of the product is just utterly broken.

- Darren

                    Welcome (See Mission Statement)

Group and Medical persons of Dragon 15 do not even include the legacy DragonBar option (in your picture) which we suspect may be removed from the DPI 16 upcoming release. We only have 2 options which are Minimized to the tray and the new Auto collapse DragonBar, which we prefer. The Group and Medical Dragon Auto collapse DragonBar is even smaller than the one in DPI 15

We are also using 3 32 inch high definition monitors. Dragon does not include any adjustable view options and you will likely experience this problem with some other applications. Your only option is to adjust your Display settings to a compatible resolution. We use Windows default 3840 x 2160 (Recommended) setting viewed at 150%

Thanks - appreciate the forecast, but it's a sad one. I'd be happy if they had just left the tray only option alone but they removed all the menu items off it. The problem with the autocollapse option is that it's (in my experience) right on top of a bunch of the busiest screen real estate (tabs on browser, menus on software tooling) and highly distracting coming and going all the time. I would seriously pay them a premium for a dumb app that could do voice rec into a simple text window with normal menu options. I don't run into that many applications that have trouble scaling (I am running 3840x2160 with 250% scaling), and this wouldn't have become a problem if they had just left the menu options on the tray icon. I guess I will have to see if I can live with the autohide option if that's what's coming. I have been hoping for a while that someone else would just put together a half decent competitor and put them out of business (and this is sad having used every version of dragon dictate and then the naturally speaking series from D1.. D16). The recognition engine continues to improve and the UI decays at about the same rate.

250% explains your situation. This is not a default setting.

Think of auto hide as auto shrinking instead. There is still a very small DragonBar at the top of the screen. In your case, you might consider using Dragon in Tray Icon Mode so that it is completely out of the way. If you're using KnowBrainer 2017 (w/2020 AI Commands), all of the Dragon menus and submenus can be opened with easy to remember command names. However, the main DragonBar menu items are also under native Dragon control like open vocabulary editor, show Dragon options, open command browser etc.
