Hello all,
Have any of you run into any issues navigating/editing iCloud calendar items by voice in Outlook using DPI?

DPI 15.61
Microsoft 365
iCloud 12.4

Thanks.
Jacky

I have had issues creating and editing iCloud calendar items in Outlook 2019, both by hand and using DPI 15.61. There are some known compatibility problems with iCloud calendar and Outlook. I struggled with it for a while and tried various fixes, none of which seemed to last. I ended up switching my iPhone and iPad calendar default to my Outlook account, which solved the problem. I would have preferred, however, to keep using my iCloud account for my calendar items.

If you do a search for iCloud calendar and Outlook compatibility, I think you will find several possible fixes, but, as I said, none seemed to last for me.

Dragon only includes limited support for cloud applications/windows because it only knows what browser you are using. Most specialized Cloud apps, including Outlook, are difficult to work with and may not even permit dictation; let alone the ability to click on anything. We have had much better luck with the local installation of Outlook 365 which is fully automated with KnowBrainer 2017.

Keep in mind that Dragon Dictation is only 50% of the speech recognition equation. Both Nuance and KnowBrainer include the ability to create commands that will allow you to automate Outlook 365 (cloud) with personal commands. KnowBrainer goes a step further by allowing you to hands-free create Mouse Position commands in less than 3 seconds (without knowing what you are doing). You will find a 30 day trial in our signature tag.

Thank you both. I am using a locally installed version of Outlook from Microsoft 365, version 2104 Build 13929.20372 (click to run). What I'm having trouble with is controlling calendar entries by voice IN THE ICLOUD CALENDAR FOLDER in Outlook, while calendar items IN THE LOCAL OUTLOOK FOLDERS work fine with dictation.

Since these are non-Dragon friendly environments that Dragon may not even permit dictation in, you might want to consider adding DragonCapture which will allow you to directly dictate pretty much anywhere and KnowBrainer 2017 (w/2020 AI Commands) to correct and edit. You'll find 30 day trials to both applications in our signature tag. On a personal note, we find Direct Dictation to be more user-friendly and efficient; as opposed to having to transfer text from a Dictation Box.
