Does the new feature "automatically adjust the microphone level as I speak" that is present when managing dictation sources render "check audio" obsolete or unnecessary?

Check Audio and Check Microphone (depending on the Dragon flavor) are left over from previous versions of Dragon. Unfortunately, DPI 15, like previous versions of Dragon, force you to run the Microphone Check when creating a new user  Dragon then completely ignores your Microphone Check. If you check your sound system right now, your information will be ignored and Dragon will suddenly (without prompt) end the Microphone Check. Although somewhat unnerving, don't worry; this is how it is supposed to work in Ver. 15. HOWEVER, if you disable auto-gain you will need these features so they serve a purpose.

Thanks, I think the new feature is great and always wondered why Nuance didn't use the computers capability to do that.
