Nuance has asked us to disable the current DPI 15.6 link because the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, during a premature release. Even the German version was temporarily released. Nuance has assured us that the official Microsoft certified release is coming very soon and will even include a MouseGrid fix, which is already finished. If you are already using DPI 15.6, it's fine. To our knowledge, the only change will be Microsoft certification (to eliminate those pesky Microsoft warnings) and a MouseGrid fix for those who are using this feature. If you need the MouseGrid fix now, contributions have been handled and we are putting everything together today.
Nuance is also working on a patch for the DPI 15.0/3 which will be accessible through the Dragon Help/Check for Updates menu, which cannot handle full releases. DPI 15.6 should be available as a patch and a full installation. We prefer full installations. ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |

Will DPG 15.6 also be re-released?

The fact that it hadn't been digitally signed and certified should have put up a warning sign already and indicated that it wasn't meant to be published officially, and the talk about OV versus EV didn't help either.
Lunis, the next time someone comes along offering executables like that, better just ignore them, and you can save yourself and others wasting time and efforts. -------------------------

No arguments here but unfortunately a Nuance division put this out. We had a similar issue with DMPE 4 but it wound up being the final release without Microsoft certification. Of course proper certification was eventually obtained. Nuance clearly thought that DPI 15.6 was ready for prime time and we strongly suspect they didn't find out about the MouseGrid problem until they read it on this forum. If Nuance had been aware of this issue, we like to believe they would have fixed it in DPG 15.6 last July. ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |

Maybe this is premature until it actually is released officially, but what will be the best way forward for those of us who already have 15.6 installed and do want the patched version with the mouse grid fix?
Will we need to uninstall everything entirely and then reinstall 15.6? Or roll back to 15.3? ------------------------- Dragon Professional Individual v15.6. Windows 10. Knowbrainer 2017. |

or................ you can have your cake and eat it too by downloading and unzipping the MouseGrid Patch which pictorially details PG's “MouseGrid fix” process. There's no telling when Nuance will finish the official release and we get a wee bit impatient ![]() Thank you PG for making this happen. ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |

I have always been a fan of clean installs. If DPI 15.6 comes out as a full install, export your user profile to a safe location, for good measure, uninstall the current version, run the remover utility, reboot the computer, and run the full installer. Most likely, your previous user profile should have been left behind where it was, going by the release notes, and if not, import the backup which you exported before uninstalling.

I believe the two files attached to this original post have been updated since the ones added to Lunis' utility MouseGrid Patch.
The final update finally fixes the timing issues and fixes an issue where some list entries have two words (and so the original HeardWord way of triggering them doesn't work).
Here's how you know you have the latest. Try a normal dictation command using my custom .xml file: Open Notepad (or really anything) as a kind of small window and say "
Now try it in mouse grid mode using my system.dvc file: Still in notepad say "
Okay?

If Nuance do read this forum, any chance updating mousegrid to work on multiple monitors/allows us to configure the number of squares?

I have written a series of 3 utilities which replace Nuance’s MouseGrid - they are free and open source. You can read the details and see the download links on this forum’s "Third-party Utilities" board, here are the topics… Screen Grid: Monitor Grid: Window Grid: ------------------------- -Edgar |

I agree with Edgar. I think it's extremely unlikely that Nuance will update MouseGrid to allow it to work in multiple monitors or to let users configure the number of squares. If you want those things, you should try Edgar's excellent utilities.

Am I missing something? My DPI 15.3 Help menu does not have a "check for updates" option. I can't find any way to manual force an update check.

You needn't worry about the Check for Updates menu because it doesn't work. DPI 15.6 is a full installation. The Dragon Check for Updates feature only looks for patches and even then, doesn't always work. It would be nice if they could include full compatibilty with WordPerfect 2020 in the authorized release. ------------------------- DNS Legal 15.6, Win 10 64-bit, Intel i9-7900X |

Did they give any sort of timeline of when we might expect to see the 15.6 installation?

“Soon” is the closest thing to an ETA Nuance ever commits to. They prefer not to be tied to a specific date but we believe they are working on notifying all registered users, by email, when the download is ready. Of course that's just a rumor. We recommend checking back here every few minutes days ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |

If you're going to snipe away at others get your facts straight because what you have posted above is just nonsense, all of it. ------------------------- |

There is now full release build DPG 15.6 available on the individual portals, it was made available on 30th September. Whether or not it is different from the patched version I don't know. I can let you try if you get in touch. Thanks Alan M for making me aware of this. It would be interesting to see for example if it fixes the mousegrid issue

So I just installed 15.6 DPG full build which became available on the portal a few days ago but the problem with MouseGrid still exists. So if you have already updated DPG to 15.6 using the official patch I wouldn't bother reinstalling the full build as it does pretty much the same thing as you should expect. ------------------------- |
