Have you done what is suggested here (at the bottom of this string):

Notepad++ is not fully select-and-say compatible in any event so these things can happen (I've seen it also with SciTE). I restart Dragon and the text editor and things usually clear up.

Good afternoon PG,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I tried restarting Notepad and Dragon and that did not help.

I did notice that I'm only having a problem in one particular Notepad++ file. All of the others allow for proper dictation placement. Any notion as to why I'm having a problem in just one file?

I did not try the suggestion offered in your link because I'm wholly dependent on Dragon and won't be able to try it out until I have someone who can manually implement the solution.
