Zoom is not Dragon friendly, as noted by the MIA DragonBar green •. This generally means that you are just gambling. In other words it may work one day and not another. We see 3 options arranged in order of preference:

1. Click the Quick Tips button at the top of this page and look for “how to enable dictation”. You can optionally click the 6th link. Look for any line that ends in =0 and change it to =1 (allows Dragon Dictation)

2. Trial DragonCapture which will force Direct Dictation everywhere and even capitalize the 1st word without a trigger command. You will see a trial in our signature tag.

3. Use your existing copy of KnowBrainer to Force Dictation with the Type <dictation> command. Also note that if you are using the Zoom chat box, you can simultaneously capitalize the 1st word, drop your dictation into the chat box and upload it when you stop speaking (all 3 events in one slick move) with the KnowBrainer Enter <dictation> command. However, if you are using the latest version of KnowBrainer, the Enter <dictation> command is currently disabled because it has a tendency to deploy when you don't want it to. If you want to try this out, simply open the KnowBrainer Sidebar, by saying Show Sidebar, select the <DISABLED> Enter <dictation> command and say Enable.
