The specific problem I'm having is that I was in the middle of an Outlook email when bizarre things began to happen after I used the phrase "focus on." I used "Show recognition history" to pull it up and I see that it heard what I said but seems to have thought it was a command, not something to type.
No problem, I thought: I'll just go into the KB command editor, find whatever command is being generated by the word focus, and disable it since I never use it.
Problem is, I could not find any commands that begin with the word focus. I looked in several different command groups and finally gave up and thought I would ask here. Any idea where I should look for that?
Which leads me to a feature request that would save me TONS of time. It would not be so difficult to find a command to enable or disable if there was just a search field that searched through all of the command groups: all of the commands, rather than requiring the user to know which command group to look in.
Alternative to a search like this that might work equally well is to allow the user to look at every single command alphabetically instead of only having that option within command groups. That way, as long as I can make a good guess as to what the first word of a command is ("focus" in this case), I can just scroll alphabetically through the list of ALL commands.
Thanks! ------------------------- Ric M |

When you say show recognition history or just What Did I Say (KnowBrainer command), command utterances appear as text. Command utterances appear with an X under the Command row and if Dragon doesn't understand your utterance, you will see <???>. We are guessing that Dragon misinterpreted something you said but you should still be able to see it in the recognition history. We don't believe focus on is a Dragon or KnowBrainer command ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |

Thanks for the fast response. If you look at the attached, it shows an x next to the "Focus on" utterance. This is a screen capture from the "show recognition history" command.

Your questions deserve being answered. The feature request you made is sound and will be addressed, in the next generation of KnowBrainer, named KnowBrainer 18 and currently under development, very slowly but surely. -------------------------

Thanks for the detailed reply! I have made no custom commands to share with you. Perhaps the odd action was some sort of fluke. In any case, the upgrade you are working on sounds great! Looking forward to it. ------------------------- Ric M |
