Don't know if Windows 11 is influencing this.  I realize that that the resynchonization issue is not a new one; however, the 'old fixes' no longer work; not for a lasting effect anyways.  I have uninstalled both, Dragon 15 and KnowBrainer 2017.  Upon reinstalling, they both work in unison and perfectly; however, upon closing them, and opening them later, I am back to the KnowBrainer synchronizing error message.  Do I honestly have to keep deleting the KnowBrainer folder from the User profile every time?  Cannot be possible.  Can anyone help?

Uninstalling/reinstalling almost never helps with Dragon. Unfortunately, Dragon is not Windows 11 compliant and this may be the problem.  

 

We no longer support KnowBrainer 2017 because all of our computers are running the KnowBrainer 2020. We suspect the real culprit is Windows 11 slowing Dragon down to the point of timing out with utilities like KnowBrainer, that sync with Dragon. 

 

When you say “deleting the KnowBrainer folder from the user profile” are you simply referring to uninstalling KnowBrainer 2017? Have you tried launching Dragon 1st and then launching KnowBrainer separately? Considering how much slower KnowBrainer 2017 is, among other reasons, we recommend the KnowBrainer 2020 Upgrade.

I am only speaking of deleting the KnowBrainer folder under User/AppData. Would purchasing the KnowBrainer 2020 resolve all of this.... or do I need to purchase a new Dragon too?

You don't need a new Dragon; at least until Nuance comes out with Windows 11 support. We can't be certain KnowBrainer 2020 won't fix this problem but you'll find a 30 day trial in our signature tag, if you would like to try before you buy.

Sadly, the KnowBrainer 2020 trial version did not resolve the issue. Same issue with needing to resynchronize, but it doesn't and closes. Dragon remains fine. I guess I have to roll back to Windows 10

The thing about Windows 11 is that we are running into a lot of unique problems that most end-users don't experience. For example, our issue is sluggish behavior from the start but becomes a little too painful after about 4 hours and we have to close re-launch KnowBrainer/Dragon again. Another 1 of our end-users cannot get the Dragon extensions to work in any browser. We are simply running into a lot of unique situations and hoping for a Dragon patch
