I am thinking of buying M1 Pro 14 inch base model. 2021 Apple MacBook Pro (14-inch, Apple M1 Pro chip with 8?core CPU and 14?core GPU, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD)This might be a stupid question, but just to make sure, is this enough power to run Parallel and DNS? I am behind in up grades of KB. I am version 15. I probably have to upgrade other aspects, but I am not sure. I have been using windows 10 and have had problems with losing connection with all the extra words ect that I put into DNS (my profile). I am hoping that this will also solve that problem. ------------------------- MacDicate VXI TalkPro5 and DNS Premium Win 8.1 Knowbrainer 2015 Travel TableMic

Maybe I should stick to my pc until windows 11 is stable. But I can't get the profile to connect to DNS. I tried hiding the profile and then returning it to the folder where it should be recognized by DNS. It still was not recognized.

1. It is nearly impossible to overload your user profile vocabulary so we doubt this is an issue ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2022 |

Well it probably will set you back US$5000.
But:
c) There is always hope that Cupertino will introduce some "M1-friendly" crypto for you to mine ... some day.

You are both very helpful. Thank you. I am not very savvy with any computer much less a PC. I have a 2012 Mac and it is simply outdated. Nothing works well with it. So, I do need a new computer. I have had so much difficulty with Windows. I have a 16 GB Windows 10 PC just for Dragon. The programs that are used with Windows are also hard to use. So, there is no way that I will want to buy a PC.
So, after seeing what Lunis is saying about needing 32 gb Ram (which is called Unified memory in the Mac world I believe) that costs about about 2,800 dollars. 16 GB would cost $1999. I stuck with the 2012 Mac for 10 years. I imagine in 10 years I will still be using this 16 inch laptop. Let's see how great I feel about this in 10 years. Probably my biggest problem will not be my ancient computer. It will be my ancient body. Lunis, if I got the Mac laptop working with Windows 10 or 11, would you be able to set up the new version and avoid my problem with my profile? I would be happy to pay 20 dollars if you could do that. I can install the new version, the problem is to get the profile to connect. Or maybe installing the new version would fix my silly problem with the profile. I guess it is hard to say anything about windows 11. ------------------------- MacDicate VXI TalkPro5 and DNS Premium Win 8.1 Knowbrainer 2015 Travel TableMic
