I'm using Microsoft edge to act since my Gmail account however it slows down Dragon to where it will take to 30s just to open an email. I was trying to find out why it's doing that. I'm using DPI 15.3 I have not updated to the .61 yet, it use to not do that but I forgot what update made it change. It seems like every time Microsoft update it will break something. So why is it doing because it's getting really annoying, I don't want to have to pay for Outlook.

Last week we remotely connected to a customer who requires browser use. They had 24 Gb of RAM and everything was fine until they launched Google Chrome. When we checked the Task Manager Performance tab we found Google Chrome using between 70% and 99% of available RAM. This produced the same lag time you are experiencing. When we closed Google Chrome the problem went away. We ran into the same problem with Microsoft Edge but no problems with Firefox. We are not promoting Firefox and we do not have the memory problem on any browser. We are simply pointing out that the President of M-Tech (computer manufacturers) are into this issue.

The behavior described by the OP is about Edge, not Chrome. However, the extremely heavy CPU footprint in Chrome is caused by their Software Reporter Tool which was added several editions ago. This is the very reason I completely abandoned Chrome and switched to MS Edge.

But... if significant lags in command deployment start occurring in Edge it has to do with a deterioration of the Dragon user profile. Not quite sure why this specifically occurs in Edge, but it does. Particularly in DPI 15.6. But I yet have to try the 15.61 version (may be different there).

Firefox on the other hand appears to be completely speech friendly lately. Particularly right after it has been updated. Later on that seems to decrease....

Rather than being forced to use Firefox, we recommend launching your favorite browser, open Windows Task Manager, clicking on the Performance tab and finding out exactly how much RAM you are using. You can then go back to your Process tab and see how much RAM each application is using. At the moment, we don't have a better answer but you should be able to use your favorite browser.

I'm going to try disabling all of the extensions on the browser to see if any of those are making it drag down. I will get back and let you know the results
