Dear all
I currently use DMPE 4.3 with a Power Mic 3 with very good results (very impressive accuracy )
I have recently got access to Olympus DS 9500 and Philips Speech Air 2100 digital recorders to use when I am not in the office .
I have tested both recorders and then transcribed the audiofiles with the same profile I use at work.
My accuracy is not very good with these recorders despite speaking in the same manner and trying multiple settings of the microphone and dictation settings.
My question is to those who get excellent accuracy from these recorders what tips do you have to share ?

When you use a digital recorder you are going through a middleman rather than directly dictating the but both of your recorders are top shelf. Digital recorder transcription should be within 1% of your direct Dragon accuracy. We recommend downloading our DS-9500 Guide and tinkering with the microphone sensitivity. We recommend that our customers change the DS-9500 default microphone settings to
Mic Mode = Dictation 1 Mic Sensitivity = Low
This will reduce environmental noise (interference) when using your recorder close to your mouth. We recommend similar settings for your SpeechAir 2100 but no longer offer it on our website, because of a lack of popularity; not lower quality. ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |
