I guess the only relevant command is ButtonClick(1,1).

It only happens once (per whatever). Something to do with initializing something.

A button click is the 1st command in the script.

It can be annoying when trying to programmatically select text, left or right, from a midpoint in a line of text.

If nobody else has ever noticed it, it's probably not worth considering.

But just in case.

The workaround, assuming one knows when it will happen, is to position the pointer a few pixels to the right of where the selection should begin.
