Hey,

I would like to transcribe audio files to a text (string) within a program or alternatively to a file. Therefore, I already tried to use the autotranscription. Unfortuneately, it is a little slow even for short audios. Is there a function in the API to transcribe files directly (which I haven't found yet) or alternatively use a command line syntax?

I'm using Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional V15.

You only have 2 options to automate transcribing recordings. The AutoTranscribe Folder Agent, which you have already tried and manual transcription via the Dragonbar Transcribe Audio menu. We before the automatic approach.

Dragon's AutoTranscribe Folder Agent can take as long as 20 seconds to begin transcribing. This feature could probably use a little tweaking but you are also testing short recordings, which might seem inefficient. If you dictate a couple of pages, you're going to find transcribing to be as fast as quick live dictation (minus the odd little pause at the beginning of the transcription process).
