I'm an idiot (don't agree too quickly Rüdiger)

I forgot to pack my windows laptop, so I am forced to use my iPhone to read email, etc., for a few days. I have dictated text into my iPhone, but this is my first prolonged experience with Apple voice control.

Q: does anyone have recommendations for which of my several iOS email app is best with Voice Control?

My email is stored on Gmail.

My email is stored on Gmail.

I currently have the Google Gmail app, as well as Apple iOS's Mail app configured to access Gmail. In the past I have tried many, many iPhone, email apps, mostly before I return to using speech recognition. Probably the most likely follow up alternate would be the Microsoft outlook app, which has a reputation of being one of the better email apps on the iPhone.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Anything that will save me time trying to determine which one is "best" for the short term use case will be appreciated.

I started off by using the Gmail app, but quickly ran into annoyances such as "scroll to top/bottom" do not, and appear to be more like "scroll N times" for some value of them, but certainly not all the way to the top or bottom.  And other problems are that the button names of revealed by "show names" or sometimes clumsy to pronounce. And you may have noticed that I really dislike "show numbers".

Switching to the default Apple Mail app quickly ran into similar minor but annoying issues.

And I suppose that I can expect such minor, but annoying issues in any possible app.

but some of you may have already used iOS email apps by voice control enough to have an educated opinion that might save me some time. Thanks in advance.

My most need is for an email app that can be configured to display the current message, handle it by archiving, or deleting, or whatever, and then display the next message without going back to the message list. In the interest of efficiency,

Here is an anti-recommendation based on a few hours of usage preparing slides for a presentation:

I probably should not have chosen to use Google slides.

I am beginning to suspect that Google slides is not very well integrated with the iPhone to Quizlet of "select and say" speech readiness.

I don't know yet, but I hope and suspect that apples presentation software might do a better job of being speech friendly on the iPhone.

Now you are living on the edge, Ag!

I also fancy being a useful idiot once in a while. But it surprises me to see you pounding the square peg of a sorry iPhone into the round hole of "content creation". Even Stevie might be turning in his deep resting place.

Even for content consumption a phone is barely adequate. Not saying voice control isn't convenient on modern iSumthins.

If you have to wreck your vacation with endless emails and now a "presentation", why not just jaunt into the nearest Best Buy / "Beach Buy" to get a Chromebook (or Surface sumthin with which you are familiar) for "evaluation" purposes? Ethics? Make a donation to local food bank afterward. The big chain stores sure didn't fight in the figurative trenches. Not with me.

Since you are mentioning it in, I'm still on the fence, but you may get chances to get me off it. :-)
