DuckDuckGo doesn't sell your browser history to businesses who target your browser. Our personal preference is Google and using a third-party blocking utility like AdBlock+, which works most of the time. Some websites will deny or restrict access when they sense an ad blocking utility. We usually just go somewhere else. We get most of our news from the default window in Microsoft Edge. AdBlock+ does a good job at blocking advertising. We really hate movement ads that in our opinion, shouldn't even be legal. Fortunately, free third-party ad blockers are pretty good at blocking that crap and we don't care who Google sells our browsing history to.

Minor correction: There are Duck Duck Go browsers for IOS and Android.
