Did anyone else experience this. Dragon refused to allow a reactivation of an earlier version thus forcing an upgrade purchase of D 15! |

You are permitted 5 activations of Dragon 11 - 15. If you cross your fingers and uninstall Dragon, you will usually gain back an activation credit. However if your hard drive crashes, replace a video card or you just have bad luck, you can easily lose 1 of your 5 activations. You either used your 5 activations or you purchased from an unscrupulous source and you are sharing your serial number with someone else. This is another good reason for ONLY purchasing from a knowledgeable reseller that knows what they're doing. If this happens with Ver. 15, contact Nuance in the UK and explain the problem. They can check your serial number to see if you have run out of activations or if someone else is using your serial number. You can usually get Nuance to rollback one activation (unless it's pirated) so technically you didn't have to purchase the DPI 15 upgrade but you are better off that you did.

Hi
It was from Amazon direct, so genuine software.
Surprised no one has sued them yet.
Maybe that will come. |

"You can usually get Nuance to rollback one activation"
They refused to activate it telling me I had no choice but to upgrade as they were no longer supporting the older version. Quite frankly, when other companies can let you activate/deactivate through a portal then what is nuance's issues? |

While Amazon direct is genuine, it doesn't include support; unless you think Nuance's outsourced support counts ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |
