The user wq123 has spammed a message across these forums.  Can you delete them, please?

We are working on it now but don't have the ability to remove every message from a particular member and would love that feature. We are having to manually delete 85 messages. We have already blocked the wg123's username and e-mail address.

I can feel your pain, but maybe this is a good time to shape up finally. In the Dragon forum that I run, it is just a matter of a few clicks. First, ban the user, then delete him/her and optionally all the messages and threads related to the user. It is all part of the service and built into the software provided by the forum provider hosting the forum including keeping the servers patched and doing backups so we never have down times, and yes, it doesn't cost me anything except for a very reasonable nominal charge, since I opted for being freed of advertizing because this is how keeping the forums going is sponsored otherwise.

Needless to mention also that all other aspects of the forum software I have been provided are a lot more convenient to the users than the one that's used around here.

Rüdiger, unfortunately our overpriced FuseTalk forum stopped supporting their product. They are still licensing support and this forum utility but not actually providing any support so our changes are limited. As it turns out, we have a quick way to hide, block and ban spammers but we didn't use the best approach. We were going for speed. We would very much like to make improvements to the forum but are quite literally prevented from doing so by the manufacturer. Have you noticed that we cannot horizontally scroll?

Our only real forum option would be to replace the world's most expensive forum with another forum which we would have to pay our webmaster to implement. Our webmaster/host is a third-party contractor.

PS: This should happen considerably less often in the future when we add CAPTCHA which is only currently connected to our shopping cart.
