July 2019 I ordered an upgrade to DMPE4 order number 509557(Order code: SOA8362815429), downloaded it and used it on my Lenovo X201.  I have had) all the previous verson of DMPE from the Origimal through 2 (DVD) and 3 & 4 (both downloads).  I recently switched to a new SSD, with a clean install of Win 10.  Before doing this I uninstalled DMPE from the old SSD, thinking that would somewhere be remembered. After installing DMPE 4 (from the origijal download file) I entered the product code from the previous DMPE 4 installatiion. I got the message that this was an upgrade and that I needed evidence of an earlier DMPE from which it was upgraded. 

At this point I don't know what to do. I have all the earlier DVD's and download files including 3 and 4.  What do I do now to confirm that my copy of DMPE 4 can be activated appropriately?

It looks like you purchased DMPE 4.2 from us. We recommend installing DMPE 4.3.1 but that won't help with their current problem. You should be able to activate your upgrade by typing your current Ver. 4 serial number. Now type or copy and paste your DMPE 2 serial number into the 2nd box and remember that Nuance does not use the letter O (oh). They only use 0s (zeros). Check your email for your serial numbers. If all else fails, you may need to contact Nuance (800) 654-1187 for a replacement full serial number. If you need complementary PDF copies of your receipts, we have them available on request
