I'm using an Edirol R-09 audiophile grade handheld recorder (because I own one anyway) to make voice recordings, and DNS 15.6.1 \tools\transcribe recording to transcribe them. Possibly because the Edirol is such a superior recorder, I'm getting excellent results in terms of accuracy (and speed of transcription in Dragon), but not 100% accuracy. Pardon a possibly dumb beginner's question, but how do I make corrections to the transcribed file so that they will "take" in Dragon? Over time it pays to "teach" Dragon to recognize my dictation, of course. BTW I learned a long time ago that it's not only okay to ask dumb questions, but usually imperative. So thanks for your patience! ------------------------- George Witterschein Mendham NJ USA |

You can add a check mark to Enable double-click to correct, (DragonBar Options/Corection tab) which will pull up the Spell That Correction Dialog box when you double-click a word. Type your correction and theoretically, this will improve your digital recorder user profile. However, in reality, we doubt this will make much difference. ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2020 |

George,
Simply select the word or the phrase you want to correct and say "correct that". If the alternative you are looking for is in the list, take it from there, and chances are that Dragon will learn from it. If it isn't, but if your pronunciation is close enough to what it should be like, proceed by spelling the correct alternative. To the same effect as above. It has been working for me like this, depending on the quality of the input. -------------------------
