Dragon keeps on dropping Outlook Web/email & Excel Extensions.

Is there any way to cure this one for all?

Thank you for your replys?

Kind Regards

David Edlin

I don't know the cure, but it happens to me all the time, so I'll be monitoring for response.

One last shot in the dark to see whether anyone else may be having this problem?

Assuming you are using a local installation of Excel, the NatSpeak extension is a bit quirky and in our opinion, completely unnecessary.

If you're using a cloud version of Outlook and/or Excel, there are no Dragon extensions. If you are using Google Chrome, consider switching to Edge which works a little better now and will probably work considerably better when Ver. 16 is released.

PS: Is there a reason why you are using cloud versions of Microsoft 365? The local installations work considerably better

Thanks Lunis! I use the local installations for all MS Office applications, but realize your response may be directed to the OP.

It occurs to me that when Dragon "drops" or "loses" an Office extension, maybe the extension crashes on its own. I've only had one time period years ago where I had trouble with some extensions. I think they were conflicts between Grammarly and Outlook/Word extensions. Now Grammarly works fine with Word, but I am still shy with Outlook and almost never use voice there. I load three extensions for Word: Natspeak, Grammarly, and Adobe PDF Maker to make PDFs from Word documents. My setup is pretty stable and has been for years.

We use Outlook all the time and would have a hard time keeping up if we didn't use Dragon. We rarely have any problems in Outlook but we do not use Grammarly
