Hi,
just switched to an iPhone 13 after using android's forever. Was really excited because I had played around with Voice Control on my wife's iPhone and it was superior to what's on my Pixel. MAJOR SNAFU is that even with the "acclaimed" face ID, it seems one still needs to swipe up on the screen to unlock it! I can really do this and the phone will be inoperable if I can't resolve it. I'm also trying to get in touch with some kind of Apple disability support.

Just wondering if anyone has surmounted this issue? Thank you!

Using facial recognition should turn your iPhone completely on. Unfortunately, every so often it will demand your password. In our case, we turned off everything because we hate passwords. Of course, we can use the slide

just wanted to update this that I was able to get in touch with the Accessibility support team at Apple. If you activate "Voice Control" then once your phone recognizes your face, you can simply just give it the command to either "Go Home" which does the same thing as swiping up or do whatever other action you want to take with your phone. So, no need to swipe if you can't.

What a relief. This is so much easier than using my nose when wearing gloves, while driving
