Wondering if anyone uses Dragon and KnowBrainer with any creative software like Photoshop And Light Room?

I used to work as a digital artist but lost the ability to do most things on the computer years ago due to severe and chronic RSI. I thought I would never be able to use any creative programs again but just discovered KnowBrainer and I'm hoping that it will allow me To maybe edit photos again.

If anyone has any custom commands or scripts already made I would love to hear about them.

Hello,

I am a 20 year Photoshop user, and I started to run into the same problem. So I searched here, using DuckDuckGo, and then Google, and I can't find squat.

It's a pretty trivial matter to create a bunch of voice-driven commands for the most common stuff in Photoshop. For example, many of the tools are selected by simply typing a letter, like V to turn on the move tool.

I may end up making a bunch of these, and am happy to share.

But it still puzzles me that no one has done this already, or if they have, it's not easy to find on the web.

KnowBrainer 2017's greatest strength and most often ignored feature is VerbalBasic II (the simple verbal ability to create commands). If typing the letter “V” could open the Move Tool you can write an application-specific Photoshop Advanced-Scripting VB command via the following:

1. Say New Script <move tool>
2. Say V or Victor (if you know your NATO alphabet)
3. After reviewing your script, say Save

KnowBrainer also includes other command options such as the ability to simultaneously create, name and save a Mouse Position command with a single utterance by hovering your mouse over the X & Y coordinates of the Move Tool button and saying New Mouse Command <Move Tool>. VerbalBasic II is Short Bus Eric Trump Tested (if Eric can do it, so can you)

Thanks, Lunis.

To be fair, folks with developmental disabilities who ride the "short bus" should not be compared to Eric Tr*mp. The former group have a disability through no fault of their own, while the latter was raised by a sociopath and decided to stay under the family umbrella.

I've looked multiple times on the net for Adobe scripting language tutorials (like VBA in Microsoft Office), but I could only find 1 or 2 documents. I think scripting (ie, programming) is not very popular with Adobe users. (FYI, scripting as I mean it is different than Adobe "actions" which are popular and are sequences of user-level actions like a macro recorder.)

I'm slowly making commands for Photoshop for really simple hotkeys. Creating new layers, grouping layers, selecting certain tools...

If anybody has already done this and will be willing to share/compare command files, I would love that. Maybe we can save each other some time.
