I use a Bluetooth Plantronics D100 on an Acer Aspire 5 laptop which comes with standard Realtek Audio. Should I consider upgrading?

I use a Bluetooth headset so I can drive away from my laptop without somebody having to take off a wired headset.
Should I just upgrade the sound card?

When you use a Bluetooth Microphone you are using a Bluetooth soundcard (your Plantronics Bluetooth dongle). Your computer's Realtek soundcard doesn't come into play so it doesn't matter.
