Hi, I hope this is the right forum to ask. I am current using dragon medical practice 4 and have been wondering how do people set up roaming profiles to use between two pcs. Currently I am using dragon on my desktop and laptop. I create a roaming profile on a mapped drive (actually it is through Pccloud) from my laptop and it works fine. However, I cannot open that same profile on my desktop through Pccloud (after already existing my laptop). It gives me an error like "roaming profile failure", then "the speech engine returned the following error: cantcopyfile". I made sure the local roaming folder is on my desktop where it is writable. I believe the problem may be uploading/downloading from Pccloud itself. However, I can simply copy the folder containing the profile from pccloud and open it just fine, so it doens't seem the profile is corrupted when it is saved on Pccloud. Similarly, I can export the profile from my laptop on a thumb drive and uses it on my desktop with no errors. So I basically just cannot load the roaming profile directly. I am just wondering if anyone uses roaming profile and would you mind sharing how do you set it up? Maybe I can just copy from what you do and go from there. Thank you so much in advance! |

Judging from our experience, the "can't copy file" error has nothing to do with moving a roaming profile to the cloud. Indeed, roaming profiles have been prone to synchronisation failure ever since their inception. ------------------------- |
