My user profile stopped launching automatically when I open Dragon Professional Individual .
In the good old days (Wednesday), I would launch Dragon and then my default user profile, which is selected to load on launch, would open by itself. Dragon would then shortly be ready to use with the microphone tray icon set to blue, ready to be awoken.
Now, I launch Dragon and after the program launches, the microphone remains gray.
I must manually open the profile by clicking Profile > Open User Profile. I must do this not once, but twice, before the profile actually opens. The first time I open the user profile, the command doesn't seem to register.
I have tried checking and unchecking the "Load this profile when Dragon starts" checkbox, but to no avail.
The only change to my system around the time this happened was I enabled Dragon Anywhere to sync with my DPI vocabulary Words under Options > Dragon Anywhere (For all the good it did. See other thread about Dragon Anywhere: https://www.knowbrainer.com/forums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=4&threadid=35636&enterthread=y
Any ideas about how to get my user profile to load automatically again? ------------------------- Dragon Professional Individual v15.6. Windows 10. Knowbrainer 2017. |

As far as I know, this is a known issue which has been escalated to Nuance development. It may help to completely de-install Dragon and reinstall the software. There is a description in the Knowbrainer Quick Tips. Be aware that you should export your user profile to a safe location before completely uninstalling Dragon.
Hope that helps, Stephan ------------------------- |

This seems to have magically resolved itself without reinstalling Dragon.
I did uninstall and reinstall Knowbrainer, and I did save and backup user profile in Dragon several times between the last time the issue occurred in the time it was fixed. Not sure if that had anything to do with it. ------------------------- Dragon Professional Individual v15.6. Windows 10. Knowbrainer 2017. |

If you're reinstalling KnowBrainer, don't forget to run the KBCommandsUpdater to add the latest commands which were just added today. You can now globally say:
1. Browser to <Website> 2. iTunes Play <song or artist> (including all albums). 3. Outlook Email <anyone> 4. OneNote Find <anything> ------------------------- Change "No" to "Know" w/KnowBrainer 2020 |

I have held off on updating Knowbrainer because I dread sorting through all my custom commands and my tweaks to the existing commands, and getting them merged with the newest Knowbrainer command file.

Now that Dragon 15.61 is available, you might consider moving your personal KnowBrainer commands to the Dragon Command Browser which now uses WinWrap Basic; the same scripting engine we use in KnowBrainer. However, Dragon 15.3 only uses the extremely out of date SAX Basic engine

I'll try that, thanks. I'm currently running 15.60 instead of 15.61. I believe 15.60 has the faster scripting engine as well, right? ------------------------- Dragon Professional Individual v15.6. Windows 10. Knowbrainer 2017. |

Your assumption is correct. We believe the only difference between 15.6 and 15.61 is the ability to install over the top of an existing Ver. 15.0/15.3 installation. Of course Ver. 15.6 isn't Microsoft certified but that just gives you a scary message and put you through a couple of extra steps. No big deal
