I have never been able to see some images and/or links in the forum I'm using Firefox, and I don't believe I have any elevated security settings. 2 examples would be the link below Rüdiger's signature, and the examples shown below:

Our best guess is that some of the posts, especially those that contain pictures, long browser addresses or long code, are simply too wide for your browser. If you have enough space, try maximizing your Firefox Window. If you have dual monitors, you can even stretch your browser across more than one monitor. Left-to-right scrolling is impossible (because of the idiots who designed this forum) but you should be able to copy all of the text, from any post, and paste it into a word processor. The only catch is you should not cut and paste from a Microsoft Word document into this forum because it will likely kill your post and prevent the Reply menu from appearing. If you have to cut-and-paste from a word processor you can use anything other than Word or WordPerfect. We recommend Notepad. ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |

Fullscreen did nothing. I tried in Google Chrome, but even the placeholders didn't show. Sorry my example from the original posting didn't load; I'll attach it now. |

You will probably have to lower your browser zoom setting. Since you are using KnowBrainer, you can optionally say Zoom Out or Zoom Out <1to20>. This might come in handy if you need various zoom settings for other sites. ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |

I tried lowering Firefox down to 30% zoom, and also changing screen resolution to 800x600 (not at the same time). Neither worked.

Hmmm. Make Sure the Show Pictures Option is Checked (obviously)
Or try to disable your Antivirus temporarily . . . Or try to open browser in "Safe" mode (extensions for High Contrast or changing page colors can interfere with this forum) Or try browsing in Incognito/Private Mode (or also while in Safe) If you look at the page source (Developer mode) you should be able to locate the image's link. Try to open that link in its own window. Hth -------------------------

Incognito mode doesn't change anything, nor does disabling antivirus & firewall. I'm unable to find a "Show Pictures" option in Firefox (latest version). Will try Safe Mode later. Thanx for the suggestions.

Zig, that certainly won't help, but most of the pictures aren't really worth looking at actually.

Have you considered the new Microsoft Edge browser that runs on the Google chromium engine but considerably more stable? You will find it with Dragon and Click by Voice extensions in your KnowBrainer Public Toolbox. We were big Firefox fans until the new Microsoft Edge was released. ------------------------- Forum Mission Statement |
